Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina (or Areandina) is a Higher Education Institution IES in Colombia, founded in 1983 in the city of Bogotá, Cundinamarca. It is made up of 8 faculties that have 85 undergraduate and graduate academic programs, offered in face-to-face, virtual and distance learning that include professional careers, technical programs, technological programs, specializations and master’s degrees.

Its main headquarters are located in Bogotá, a city in which 20 sub-offices of the university are located. This also has a branch in Pereira and another headquarters in Valledupar, it also has 39 University Service Centers spread throughout the country.

Seven of its programs have High Quality Accreditation, conferred by the Ministry of National Education of Colombia: Surgical Instrumentation (in Pereira), Technology in Radiology and diagnostic images (in Bogotá), Fashion Design (in Bogotá), Market and advertising (in Bogotá); Nursing in (Pereira), and Mining Engineering (in Valledupar).

The University Foundation of the Andean Area has 39 years of academic experience, seeking to improve the quality of life of its students by developing educational and human competencies, for the improvement of coexistence and survival of society.
